The drum feeder is driven by a motor to rotate the drum. Inside the drum, lifting vanes (or flights) elevate the parts from the bottom to a linear guideway. As parts move along the guideway, they are oriented and singulated by an integrated sorting mechanism before being discharged. This type of feeder features a compact design, easy installation, and low vibration and noise. It is well-suited for feeding small parts with simple geometries that are easy to orient, such as bolts, rubber plugs, and magnetic cores.
